Bower Terms of Use

Between you and Bower, an independent developer based in Sydney, Australia ("Bower", "we").

1. What Bower is

Bower is a household money tracker. You and the people you invite enter transactions, budgets and bills by hand and see them together. Bower is not a bank, not a financial adviser, and never connects to your bank. The numbers Bower shows are your own numbers, described; nothing in the app is financial advice.

2. Your account

You need an email address and a password. Keep them to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You must be 16 or older.

3. Households

A household is shared. Everyone in it sees everything in it: transactions, budgets, receipts, who added what. Only invite people you are happy to share that with. The person who creates a household is its owner and can rename it and invite others. Anyone can leave by deleting their account. When the last member deletes their account the household and everything in it is deleted.

4. Your data

It is yours. We store it to run the app for you and your household, as described in the Privacy Policy. You can export it at any time and delete it by deleting your account.

5. Acceptable use

Use Bower for tracking household money. Do not try to read other households' data, overload the service, reverse engineer the app beyond what the law allows, or use it for anything unlawful. We can suspend accounts that do.

6. Price

Bower is free. If that ever changes for a feature, we will say so in the app before you are charged for anything. Core household tracking stays free for the people already using it.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep Bower running but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or remove features. Keep your own export if the data matters to you; Settings > Money > Export takes a minute.

8. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Bower is provided as is and we are not liable for loss arising from your use of it, including decisions you make based on the numbers in it. Nothing here removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.

9. Ending

You can stop any time by deleting your account. We can end these terms by closing the service or your account with reasonable notice, or immediately for misuse.

10. Law

These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and its courts.
